My mommy irritates me, why does she do it ?

my mommy has always been a slim lady, as i grew up i realized that she controls her diet a lot and maintains.... i used to be an obese child esp due to overeating and inactivity.... as i went to college, i had to be active and started controlling my diet, so i reduced to a very small size .... my mother always used to tell me that i have 'huge bones' and a 'huge body' and that i will never reduce to a tiny size but when i got conscious, i became very very slim and people used to praise me for my size zero .... obviously it surprised my mommy .... and these days i have started gaining some weight, am on the healthier side and ofcourse i want to share my woes with my momy so... if i tell her, mom i am gaining weight .... she is so quick to retort saying 'if u don't eat for sooooo long and suddenly eat, then you will obviously gain a lot of weight' and she keeps telling it to me all the time ... the fact is that i am a regular eater, and eat along with her whenever am home .... i just skip dinner sometimes and don't diet much but she keeps blaming me loudly of not eating enough and gaining weight due to sudden eating .... i feel so disturbed by this misrepresentation of my habits by her which she makes sure to publicise infront of other people .... i don't know whats wrong with her but it pisses me off a lot...

Ok the only thing I remember about this game show is that there was a round (possibly the final round?) where one contestant of a pair would start at the bottom of a set of steps. It's like whole entire country is dedicated to destroying a fanbase that likes a cartoon. I did read up on it and the creator of that show, Lauren Faust, wanted to change it and make it enjoyable to watch for everyone. That is actually an excellent mid-range gaming rig. That particular graphics card is a good one and can actually handle modern games like COD mw2 and Battlefield 2 at a resolution of 1360x768 (recommended settings). It can handle higher resolutions of course, but you might need to tweak it based on the game. Given the games that you mentioned, this graphics card would own on the highest possible settings. As for your hookup to the large monitor, running these games at 1920 * 1080p wouldn't be a problem and you likely will not experience lag. I don't think running it at higher resolutions would be recommended though, as the card is limited in it's capabilities. I actually have one it's predecesors, the GT330 m, which works perfect for my needs and is capable of running Crysis on medium to high settings. The other specs for this xps are solid and I think it's priced well. I'm not particularly a fan of Dell, (in fact I don't like them much), but I make an exception of their XPS line of gaming rigs. Go for it.

So I was just in a pageant and there were 25 contestants. I thought I did pretty well until they announced top 10 (actually 11) and my name wasn't called. I hadn't seen anyones interview but some girls in the top 10 messed up their speech's and one started crying when she messed up. Reality shows that are not live, such as America's Next Top Model. When a contestant is sent home, doesn't that "spoil" it for folks in their hometown? They would know who got eliminated. And do they have to agree to not say anything about how far they made it, and who is still in the running?

Evolution does exists it just depends on the depth of which it is taught. It is scientifically proven that evolution as happened over time. I think most people do not realize that just because evolution exist it does not prove the non existence of a God. A simple example of evolution can be seen with Darwin's Finches. Those birds "prove" evolution happens. Now no one can "prove" man came from a monkey but have you ever thought that evolution may be an avenue by which God accomplishes things. Contrary to what many believe science does not prove the absence of a God rather supports the need for some master creator with supreme order in a universe which is bound by the laws of thermodynamics i.e. entropy. How can so much order here on earth be found when science tells us that the universe moves towards chaos.

I am 20 years old, and I am 5'5 and weight 174.(171 on good days if im not retaining fluid) I have always had weight issues my entire life. Future Career Help : Network Engineer?

Okay so i wanted to a Systems Software Engineer, though i have heard by many that its one of the most stressful jobs available. I am 17,and a Senior, Trying to figure out my future career, My brother is a Networking engineer and he works at Mayo Clinic, im not sure how much he makes though im guessing anywhere from 55k-60k per year. Now dont say " choose a career that makes you happy.. etc "... Because any IT work i will enjoy. I love computers and i always had a natural thing for them, though i also enjoy trucks. I want to be able to make enough money for a family, a nice truck, dirtbikes... etc. Mainly a nice truck about 35k in total upgrades, im a very dedicated person, i WILL make sure that i get my desires. Im just wondering if i had a career in Network Engineering making minimum 55k, will i be able to afford a truck at 24k and about 9k in mods, and a house, and other common things? Assuming i do not have a wife, or kids. Now vise versa, i do have a wife ( with an okay job ) and a kid... THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! I know it seems like alot, but ANYTHING would help.

Emotional and pregnant!?

Haha! I'm 32wks and I cried at a snuggle commercial cause the mom wrapped her baby in a towel. I cried cause my cat Bo lightly bit me cause I was bathing him (he didn't break the skin, just my heart) but he's my lil lover bug. I cried cause I couldn't get anyone to come help one of the customers in our floral department ( I work at a grocery store) I cry when ppl ask... "are u sure ur not having twins?" Amazing music heard in a dream?

I had a vivid dream last night and I remember some of the details which I will describe. In the dream, I was in some sort of competition that took place in this parallel universe where it was like old times, but in the future ( like star wars for example ). It was a huge circular stadium type place that was greyish/blueish/metallic and the spectators and the guy running the competition were dressed like Romans. In fact, now that I think about it, it resembled the stadium in Rome where the gladiators fought in the past. The contestants were large group teams, with like 30-40 people each, except I was in my own team by myself. We were each standing on our own platforms in the center of the colosseum and the part of the competition I remember included a question and answer section. We were asked some sort of philosophical/social question, which I do not remember exactly, but it had something to do with which form of society was best, one where everyone was tolerated (different religions, beliefs etc) or one where everyone was the same and forced to live according to the same universal format etc. The question was something about which one was correct or functional. I remember answering that the only one that will work was the freedom/respect/tolerance one, and a few other teams also answered similarity, but most, ablest like 70% of the teams there answered that the totalitarian/everyone forced to be the same/ system was optimal. The host, who was standing on his own tall platform, then told us that the correct answer was the free society, and then he swooped in and tackled all the teams that answered incorrectly, stating something like "if you don't know this basic tenant, then you don't deserve to run a society" or something like that (it was much more epic, I just don't remember the quote), and the teams he tackled fell when the platforms they were standing on opened underneath them, and I guess they were out of the game. Then my platform, and the few teams that answered started rising in their platforms and this awesome music started playing. It has some deep strings and synth strings, and the lyrics were a phrase in another language repeating over the music. I don't remember the phrase anymore, but I did when I first awoken but I fell asleep again. It was something like "mum ba ka" and a lady and choir were singing it. It was intense, scary and sublime all in one. I have had SEVERAL dreams where I hear the most amazing music that doesn't exist in real life. Has anyone else heard amazing original music in a dream?

Has anyone ever witnessed a "sux race"?

Sux, or Suxamethonium Chloride, or Succinylcholine Chloride, or Scoline is a powerful muscle relaxant used in anaesthesia. A sux race is when a group of people give themselves IM injections of sux and then race each other. The person who gets the furthest before collapsing with respiratory arrest wins. Custody Issues, please help me.?

I apologize for publicizing this matter even though that is the purpose of this website. I am fifteen years old and I have been helping to raise my nephew that has been in my parents custody for the last two years. My parents work constantly so it was mainly just me and my nephew all the time and i loved it that way. I am obviously extremely attached to him and I become rather depressed when he is not around, he is my most important thing. However, his mother has suddenly cleaned her act up and has had him living with her for the passed three weeks and I have only seen him once since then. I am happy that my sister has more or less turned her life around and i want my nephew to have a mother... but i devastated me that he is gone. I hate to admit it but i am crying right now thinking about it (i never cry). My actual question is this: How awful of a person am I to wish he would still be with me instead of her? No matter how happy I should feel about the current situation I can't handle it! I wanted to take him to his first day of school two years from now and watch him grow up. I wanted to keep him for myself at both his and my sister expense and i feel guilty as hell about it. I know it's not right at all but i don't know what to do! Is it natural to feel this way or am I more shitty of a person than I thought? I could use some advise and criticism. Please answer.

Stuck in a dilemma, unsure of what i want.?

A year ago, my girlfriend for a year and a half and i decided to break it off because we felt disconnected. She lives in my hometown and i live about 1-hour bus ride away but i was dedicated to see her every weekend. Now, having completely different lives, we are finding out that we want to be together again and we still have the same feelings. We met up and everything felt the way it used to, which is a good thing but after we concluded that our lives are not the same as they used to be, we talk to new people, we have different priorities but we still care so much for each other. I've realized that if i go back, then i'm just going to be dragged into the old city that really has no good for me and it would be hard to balance the new social life i created here since we've broken up. Something deep inside is telling me that she's the only i can be happy with, and i've tried to feel the same way with different girls but it just doesn't meet the happiness i have with her.
